To associate a logger number (e.g. 883600) with a description (e.g. Hyper-Alkaline cluster by stream) you should edit the file /data/logger_names.txp and upload it via FTP (or email it to David Gibson). The associations in that file will be applied the next time the BCRA server "mines" the logger information (which is probably half-hourly).
The logged files are displayed in their directory list, where the 'classification' column is configured in the .htaccess file.
The "do not switch off" notice for the Poole's Cavern PC is /data/technical/pc-info-notice-v4.pdf, with its source document on David Gibson's PC at file:///C:/_F/_current-misc/tinytag/.
The following passwords are stored in BCRA's Password Safe, under Pooles Cavern Router. (At the time of writing this is a part of BCA's password safe)
Access to the router is limited to a specified list of IP addresses. See Technical Notes on Pooles Cavern Operations.
At the time of writing, the router is set to reboot daily. In the past, this reboot seemed to suspiciously coincide with router crashes.
The Poole's Cavern router is configured to allow access to the connected devices. For details see Technical Notes on Pooles Cavern Operations
A number of CRON jobs run on the BCRA web server, to facilitate communications with the Poole's Cavern router. For details see Technical Notes on Pooles Cavern Operations
